With just 1.83 inches of precipitation November 2013 became the fifth driest November on record for Boone based on data from 1980 to 2013 *there are some days of data missing for the month*. 11.79 inches in 1948 stands as the record for the month, followed by 10.36 inches in 1934 based on all data from 1929 til now. The driest November occurred in 2007 with just .52 recorded.
