Work on the new intersection on Blowing Rock Road is nearing completion. Crews are working on signal installations now and they are expected to be operational by the third week of October, according David Uchiyama with NCDOT. NCDOT has also been informed that Cracker Barrel is going to modify an old entrance following a review and approval.
When complete the intersection will serve as as access to Postal Street, along with access to the new Publix Grocery (in the former Kmart location), the US Postal Service, Cracker Barrel and other existing business. For more detailed information about the total project visit this link.
