Motorists are advised to be aware of extra traffic in school zones and buses on the roads both Thursday and Friday midday due to early school release.
Watauga County Schools release early both on Thursday and Friday of this week (Oct 27/28) for parent/teacher conferences. K-8 will release at noon noon and WHS at 1pm.
Looking ahead for the rest of 2016:
Schools are closed on Friday November 11 for Veterans Day
Wednesday November 23 is an early release day for the Thanksgiving break
Thursday December 22 is an early release day for the Christmas break
