With Memorial Day lane closure restrictions ending today, construction operations continue on 321 in Blowing Rock with several operations scheduled this morning. These operations include curb & gutter work, sidewalk construction, retaining wall construction, and concrete driveway construction. Flagging operations are also scheduled between Green Park Inn and Country Club Rd for paving operations. Expect delays.

Wednesday June 1

Weather permitting, construction operations will continue today on 321 in Blowing Rock with several operations scheduled this morning. These operations include curb & gutter work, sidewalk construction, retaining wall construction, storm drainage system installation and concrete driveway construction. Flagging operations are also scheduled near Pinnacle Ave for paving and grading operations.

Thursday June 2

Weather permitting, construction operations will continue today on 321 in Blowing Rock with several operations scheduled this morning. These operations include curb & gutter work, sidewalk construction, retaining wall construction, storm drainage system installation and concrete driveway construction. Flagging operations are also scheduled near Pinnacle Ave for paving and grading operations. MOTORISTS CAN EXPECT CONGESTION AND MODERATE TO HEAVY DELAYS IN THIS AREA DURING THESE OPERATIONS!!

1:47pm – per scanner dispatches there are two malfunctioning stop lights in Boone currently. One at Greasy Corner and the other at Watauga Village Drive. Believed to be due to thunderstorms in the area flicking power off.

Friday June 3

Weather permitting, construction operations will continue today on 321 in Blowing Rock with several operations scheduled this morning. This work involves alternating traffic shifts from Ransom St to Little Springs Rd for various construction activities including curb & gutter work, sidewalk construction, retaining wall construction, storm drainage system installation and concrete driveway construction. Flagging operations are also scheduled near Pinnacle Ave. as striping operations are scheduled to begin later this morning for the next temporary traffic shift set to occur later today. This temporary traffic shift will place all traffic on the future southbound lanes and is necessary as retaining wall construction gets underway along the exiting northbound lane. While this traffic shift is temporary, it is anticipated to last several weeks. MOTORISTS CAN EXPECT CONGESTION AND MODERATE TO HEAVY DELAYS IN THIS AREA DURING TODAY'S OPERATIONS!!

Paving operations are also continue today along the median near Food Lion for yet another temporary traffic shift scheduled for as early as later today, weather permitting. Once initial paving is completed along the median in this area, southbound traffic will be shifted so that paving can continue along the existing southbound lane. This paving and temporary traffic shift is necessary in order for various construction activities to continue in this area, including curb & gutter and sidewalk installation. While this traffic shift is temporary, it is anticipated to last several weeks. MOTORISTS CAN EXPECT CONGESTION AND MODERATE TO HEAVY DELAYS IN THIS AREA DURING TODAY'S OPERATIONS!!

Excavation operations are still in progress along the median from Westview Dr to Tanger Outlets. Traffic shifts are being used to help motorists navigate through this area. MOTORISTS CAN EXPECT CONGESTION AND MODERATE TO HEAVY DELAYS IN THIS AREA AS WELL!
