The Blowing Rock Main Street Water and Sewer project will have an impact on traffic in that area starting on Monday, February 12.
The Town will completely close Main Street from Chetola out to the Hwy 321 intersection for 4 days a week (Monday morning through Thursday evening), according to Kevin Rothrock, Interim Town Manager of Blowing Rock. This will last for about 3 months, through at least mid-April 2024.
The road will be open Friday mornings through the weekends. This closure is for an 18-inch sewer line replacement.
Blowing Rock School traffic coming from Boone will need to use Sunset Drive or the south end of Main Street to access the school.
