Governor Josh Stein ordered all U.S. and North Carolina flags at state facilities to be lowered to half-staff immediately until sunset Sunday, August 31 in honor of the victims who lost their lives and those who were injured in a senseless act of violence committed on Wednesday at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Statement from Governor Stein “I am heartbroken by the news of the terrible shooting in Minneapolis. Anna and I send our condolences to the students, teachers and families at Annunciation Catholic School. Too many of our young people are being killed by gun violence.
