A local woman is among the latest graduates of the Electrical Lineman Program at Caldwell Community College & Technical Institue.

Heather Hodges of Boone is among 11 graduates of the program, which concluded with a completion ceremony on Friday, March 15 at the J.E. Broyhill Civic Center in Lenoir. Hodges was also among the recipients of the NC State Employees Credit Union “Bridge to Career Scholarship” to help cover the cost of training.

The State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) Foundation established the SECU Bridge to Career Program to help eliminate barriers for students seeking to earn state-regulated or industry-recognized credentials through the workforce continuing education division of their local community college.
