Construction operations continue today on 321 in Blowing Rock, from Tanger Outlets to Blowing Rock Furniture Galleries. A northbound lane closure is in place from Skyland View Drive to Church Street for median curb work. AS PART OF THIS NORTHBOUND LANE CLOSURE, LEFT TURNS AT OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE WILL BE PROHIBITED!! A northbound lane closure is also in place from Sunset Dr to Possum Hollow Rd for backfilling curb, sidewalk preparation operation, and wall enhancements. MOTORISTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SLOW DOWN AND TO REMAIN ALERT WHEN TRAVELING THROUGH THIS AREA OF THE PROJECT. A southbound lane closure is in place from Sunset Dr to Ransom St from work in various parking lots/business driveways. Flagging operations are in place south of Green Park Inn to assist construction vehicles entering/exiting the work site in that area. MOTORISTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SLOW DOWN AND REMAIN ALERT WHEN TRAVELING THROUGH THIS AREA OF THE PROJECT!!
Tuesday July 19
Construction operations continue today on 321 in Blowing Rock with lane closures for both northbound and southbound lanes from Tanger Outlets to Blowing Rock Furniture Galleries. AS PART OF THE NORTHBOUND LANE CLOSURE, LEFT TURNS AT OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE WILL BE PROHIBITED!! These lane closures are necessary in order for various operations to continue, including median curb installation, traffic signal loop work, sidewalk preparation and installation, rock wall enhancements and driveway paving.
Wednesday July 20
Expect traffic congestion on Blowing Rock Road near the Post Office as work had started on the new intersection.
Thursday July 21
Expect traffic congestion on Blowing Rock Road near the Post Office as work has started on the new intersection.
Flagging and lane closures on 321 in Blowing Rock from south of Green Park Inn to Possum Hollow Road.
11:15am – Expect delays on Blowing Rock Road at Meadowview Drive due to wreck.
4:24pm – Expect big delays on 421 in Vilas due to a wreck.
