The morning commute on 421 in Watauga County and Johnson County TN came to an abrupt halt after the road was shut down for about 4 hours. Two incidents caused by the same tractor and trailer caused damage to a 150 gallon diesel tank and then wrecked causing leading to damage with it's 4500 gallon tank of liquid nitrogen.
The road was reopen around 9:35am.

And late Friday all eyes were back on the weather. First report of snow in Banner Elk came in around 6:30pm.
