Crews from multiple agencies responded to rescue a paraglider who crashed into trees in Zionville.
At approximately 10:20 am Watauga Emergency Services received a report of a paraglider landing in a tree, around 25 to 30 feet above ground.
As of 12:50 pm, the paraglider had been brought safely to the ground. It is confirmed that the patient has minor injuries and is making their way out with only minor assistance, according to Watauga Emergency Services. 
This rescue was complicated due to the difficult terrain and the position of the rescue. Responding departments included Zionville Fire Department, Cove Creek Fire Department, Boone Fire Department, Watauga Rescue, Watauga Medics, and Watauga County Emergency Services.
