Seventy-five members have already been affected early this morning due to high winds and snow that are beginning in the mountain service area of Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation.
As of 6:45 a.m., linemen have all but 35 members restored from that outage which was caused by a tree falling and brining down a three spans of power lines.
Due to severe weather predictions today and potential for major outages, assisting crews have been called in to help Blue Ridge Electric restore any outages as quickly and safely as possible today. Members should report all outages by calling the cooperative’s PowerLine at 1-800-448-2383.
