Commodity Supplement Food Box Program begins Thursday February 17

Three Forks Baptist Association is partnering with NC Baptists On Mission and the USDA to help provide food for Watauga County residents sixty and over!

Through a program called the Commodity Supplemental Food Program, residents in Watauga County who are sixty and over and meet the income requirements will be eligible for a monthly food box distributed by NC Baptists On Mission through the Three Forks Baptist Association. The box includes non-perishable food items such as canned meats and vegetables, dry beans and rice, canned juices, shelf stable milk and a block of cheese.

When: Thursday, February 17, 2022 for the first distribution, and the second Thursday of each month beginning in March

Time: 10:00am-12:00pm

For applications, contact either distribution site, the Watauga County Senior Center, 828-265-8090, and the Three Forks Baptist Association, 828-264-4482.

There is a quick application process and an ID is required. Walk ups are welcome for those who qualify on February 17 on a first come, first served basis.
