The string of days with high temperatures into the 60s is about to come to an end starting on Monday, and along with it comes more rain. Boone officially recorded highs in the lower 60s the last seven days, including Sunday, some of which became new high temperatures.
Starting Monday high temperatures are forecast to fall into the 50s before falling into the 40s on Thursday and dropping into the 30s by Saturday. The cold could go below seasonal normal's by the coming weekend and last into at least the first ten days of the New Year, according to the National Weather Service in a Sunday weather briefing. The rain is expected to move out by Thursday, thus eliminating the chance for snow for the coming weekend.
