Press Release from Boone Police
On February 28, 2017, at around 7:30 AM, the Boone Police Department received a 911 call requesting assistance with an unresponsive infant in a residence in the Watauga Green apartment complex on Clawson Street in Boone.
Boone Police Department officers responded with Watauga Medics to assist. The infant was transported to the Watauga Medical Center Emergency Department where the child was pronounced dead upon arrival. There were no obvious signs of foul play. Boone Police detectives are currently investigating the death.
