As storms rolled through the area on Thursday afternoon, motorist in Boone found some traffic signals not cooperating. The first problem was reported at “Greasy Corner” (intersection of King Street and Harding Street) and the second at Watauga Village Drive.
Incoming reports via social media noted that the storms caused power flickers in Boone.
