Jefferson N.C. – On November 12, 2024, Autumn Hall Whitaker, 29 years old, pled guilty to trafficking methamphetamine-related offenses in Ashe County Superior Court. As a result of this case, Hall received an active sentence of 15 years in the North Carolina Department of Corrections.
In December of 2023, an investigation concluded that involved two known methamphetamine traffickers, Autumn Hall and Anthony Hopkins, in Ashe County, NC. Through prior investigative measures, the investigative team suspected Hall and Hopkins to be picking up large quantities from Winston Salem, NC. The Ashe County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop during the investigation that resulted in the seizure of approximately 3 lbs of methamphetamine.
The investigation was conducted by the Ashe County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division, N.C. State Bureau of Investigations, Grayson County Sheriff's Office, and Wilkesboro Police Department.
