Firefighters battled a structure fire that destroyed a church on Sunday.
The blaze, at 479 Grassy Creek Road, consumed the Grassy Creek Methodist Church just hours before a ceremony was to be held that afternoon.
Multiple fire units responded to the scene. No word yet on the cause of the fire.
Officials have determined that the fire began accidentally in a furnace room, according to media reports.
