Adam Lentz has been named the new Watauga County Emergency Services Director.
Lentz takes over the position after the recent retirement of Jeff Virginia. Lentz has overĀ 16 years of experience in the emergency services field, including experience as a Watauga County Telecommunicator, a Watauga County Deputy Sheriff (Patrol Sergeant and Detective), and a Boone Firefighter as well as a Network Technician specializing in VIPER with the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
