For fans of colder weather then Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were for you. Fans of much warmer weather were basking in Thursday's conditions.
High temperatures at the Watauga Medical Center reporting station only topped out at 13 degrees for Sunday, 24 on Monday and 38 on Tuesday. Thursday however felt more like Spring than winter, as the high hit 65.
By comparison, December 2016 recorded only one day in the 60s, 61 on Saturday the 17th while November recorded multiple days in the 60s. January 2016 recorded a high of 58 on the 31st.
High temperatures are forecast to be in the 50s for next week.
