Motorists are advised to be aware of extra traffic in school zones and buses on the roads both Thursday and Friday midday due to early school release.
Watauga County Schools release early both on Thursday and Friday of this week (Oct 26/27) for parent/teacher conferences. K-8 will release at noon and WHS at 1pm.
Looking ahead for the rest of 2017:
Schools are closed on Friday November 10 for Veterans Day
Wednesday November 22 is an early release day for the Thanksgiving break
Thursday December 21 is an early release day for the Christmas break
