The search for Carlton Lamaar Edmondson continues in Trade Tennessee.
On Friday, investigators with both state and local Tennessee search teams, including using human remain recovery canines, were combing an area of interest. Nothing was found.
Over the last three weeks state and local law enforcement agencies, from both North Carolina and Tennessee, have conducted multiple searches both on the ground and by air in areas near the stateline.
So far there have been six arrests in connection with the case and WataugaOnline.com has learn that more are possible.
Edmondson has been missing since Friday January 19 after his family reported to the Valdese Police Department, in Burke County North Carolina, that they had received phone calls from an unknown person stating their son had been kidnapped and were demanding $700 for his return.
WataugaOnline.com reported on February 1 the assault was captured on one of the suspect’s cell phones. Since that time another video has surfaced.
