5:53am – from Blue Ridge Electric facebook page – Heavy rain for days is causing trees outside the right of way to fall onto power lines in some areas. Please be cautious as you’re out today and stay far away from downed power lines as they can still be energized! Linemen have been working this morning in Watauga and Ashe counties to restore outages, including: Old Watauga River Rd where 318 members are affected and 2 power poles are being replaced.
