National Weather Service Statement:

…SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT CONCERNING FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS…

TODAY WILL BE UNSEASONABLY WARM…DRY…AND BREEZY. THESE WEATHER
CONDITIONS WILL SUPPORT GREATER RATES OF SPREAD FOR WILDLAND
FIRES.

TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON ARE EXPECTED TO CLIMB AT LEAST 15
DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL…WITH HIGHS IN THE 70S. MINIMUM RELATIVE
HUMIDITY VALUES DURING THE AFTERNOON WILL DIP TO NEAR 30
PERCENT…AND WIND GUSTS OF 20 TO 30 MPH ARE ALSO POSSIBLE.

IF A FIRE DOES START…IT MAY SPREAD QUICKER THAN NORMAL DUE TO
THE ELEVATED WIND SPEEDS AND LOW HUMIDITY. EXTRA CAUTION IS
ADVISED.
