On April 3, 2016, an incident of breaking and entering and larceny was reported at 375 NC Highway 105 Extension in Boone. Sometime between the hours of 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 2nd and 10:55 am on Sunday, April 3rd, someone forcibly entered two businesses at this location to include Darth Vapor and Reef Magic. There were various items of merchandise and store decoration stolen as well as an undisclosed amount of money stolen from the businesses. There was also evidence found at the crime scene that the suspect(s) may have been injured during the incident.
On Thursday, March 31 at approximately 1:15 pm, the Beech Mountain Police Department was dispatched to a Breaking & Entering in progress at the Land of Oz. The Beech Mountain Police Department is trying to identify the subjects in the photos.
On March 30, 2016, Boone Police received a report of a fraud that occurred from the dates of March 24 through March 28, 2016. A black male, driving a white SUV, used, what is believed to be a cloned credit card, in several locations and ATMs around Boone, NC. The victim reported a loss of over $5000 cash from their account. Boone Police Department is seeking assistance in properly identifying this suspect from the attached images.
