Last Updated on May 1, 2017 7:15 pm

Heavy rain for much of the day lead to flooding in Boone for the first day of May. Several roads in town were impacted, as can be found in this list, for most of the afternoon and into evening. The Watauga Medical Center weather reporting station recorded 2.35 inches of rain between midnight and 7:15pm.

Nelson Aerials, a professional drone services company based in Boone, captured the waters from high in the sky on Monday. Below are two videos showing the waters from around the mall around noon and State Farm Road/Deerfield Road around 4pm.
