11am- 321 just south of Blowing Rock is shut down due to a wreck. Numerous EMS from Caldwell on the scene.
11:18pm – getting reports that at least one tractor and trailer is involved in the wreck, and there is a fire on the scene as a result. Expect that portion of 321 to be closed for several hours, use 421 as a detour.
WSOC TV is reporting the accident is near Richland Road and that one person has died after a motorcycle was pinned under a tractor and trailer.

1pm – WataugaRoads.com has learn that one of the vehicles in the wreck was bringing sound equipment to ASU for a concert tonight.
1:45pm – getting a report that the road will continue to be closed through the afternoon at least.
3:34pm – Watauga County Communications dispatch is reporting that 321 closed at least through 7pm
5:20pm – southbound lanes of 321 have open back up. No details about northbound lanes.
5:25pm UPDATE CORRECTION- getting report that one north bound lane and one south bound of 321 is back open.
