A Watauga County Sheriff's Deputy was involved in a wreck while responding to a call on Sunday afternoon.
The Deputy, whose name has not been released, is ok according to Watauga County Sheriff Len Hagaman. The accident occurred at the “Big Light” at the main intersection in Boone.
Sheriff Hagaman tells WataugaRoads.com on Sunday night that four people were involved, a Tennessee family of three and his Deputy. The family (husband, wife, and 8 month old) are all ok.
According to scanner dispatches at the time of the accident, multiple persons were transported to Watauga Medical Center.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, but Sheriff Hagaman says that NCSHP has noted that the Deputy was not at fault.
