July Arts Classes for All at the Watauga Arts Council

BOONE, N.C. – June 2026 — The Watauga Arts Council (WAC) is pleased to announce its lineup of arts education classes for July, offering creative learning opportunities for children, teens, and adults throughout the community in a range of media.

Classes listed below will be held throughout the month of July at the Watauga Arts Council on 377 Shadowline Dr, Boone, NC and are designed to help participants explore new artistic skills, build confidence, and connect with fellow creatives. Programs are led by teaching artists and instructors and welcome a range of skill levels.

  • Oval Rope Sewing with Karen Admire — July 3, 1–4 p.m.
  • Songwriting Monday with Lauren Hayworth — July 6, 7–8:30 p.m.
  • Morning Art Studio: Acrylic Painting with Phi Perry — July 9, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
  • Rhododendron Watercolor Study with Cathy Futral — July 10, 9–11:30 a.m.
  • Principles of Design with Jeanine Hasty — July 14, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
  • Morning Art Studio: Oil Pastels with Phi Perry — July 16, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
  • Rope Sewing on a Sewing Machine with Karen Admire — July 17, 1–4 p.m.
  • Art Sprouts Studio for Grades K–2 with Stacey Wilson — July 21, 3:30–5 p.m.
  • Creative Writing for Teens with Lindsey Jai — July 21, 6–7:30 p.m.
  • Art Explorers Studio for Grades 3–5 with Stacey Wilson — July 23, 3:30–5 p.m.
  • Teen Art: Intro to Drawing with Hannah Little — July 23, 6–8 p.m.
  • Morning Art Studio: Mixed Media with Phi Perry — July 30, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
