A video of an App State football player hitting a teammate with a helmet during practice has gone viral.
In the video, a defensive lineman ripped off the helmet of an offensive lineman and struck him in the head with it. The video, which you can see below, was posted on X (formerly Twitter) by user App State Leaks (@hennyC4_).
TMZ picked up the video and reported “In a statement to TMZ Sports … the school declined to specify who the attacker was — although it did note the player was being disciplined internally. “This behavior is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated within the App State football program,” head coach Shawn Clark said.”
After the TMZ article, other national sports outlets carried the story.
