Flaggers will direct traffic near Valley Creek after 7 a.m.
FOSCOE – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will begin placing precast culvert sections on N.C. 105 early Thursday morning.
Beginning at 7 a.m., flagging crews from Blythe Construction will direct traffic on N.C. 105 near Valley Creek Lane to facilitate moving equipment and materials into the site to begin installing sections of the new culvert that will carry Valley Creek under N.C. 105. Hurricane Helene damaged the original structure.
The flagging operation will continue intermittently throughout the day. All construction is expected to finish later this year.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, remain alert and drive with caution.
