**THE BOIL ALERT FOR TOWN OF BOONE WATER HAS BEEN LIFTED AS OF 1:26PM WEDNESDAY OCT 10**
The Public Utilities Department of the Town of Boone is advising water consumers in the town to boil their water when the water main break is fixed. A water main break on highway 321 near the Visitor's Center has caused certain parts of Boone to lose water since late afternoon.
