Summer break is about to end for area public schools, colleges, and university systems as the 2026-27 year begins.
Johnson County, Tennessee Schools return on Monday, Aug. 3.
Watauga and Ashe public schools, as well as the Watauga campus of Caldwell Community College, head back on Monday, Aug. 17.
Appalachian State and Lees-McRae College also begin on Monday, Aug. 17.
Avery County starts back on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
