As summer winds down and families prepare for the start of school, the Blowing Rock Police Department is inviting the community to a Back-to-School Cop-Out.
The event will be held Saturday, Aug. 8, at Memorial Park from noon to 2 p.m. and supports the Blowing Rock Parent Teacher Organization.
Officers with the Blowing Rock Police Department will cook hot dogs at the event, and all donations collected will go directly to the BR PTO.
The Town of Blowing Rock thanked its community partners for their donations and the police department for hosting the cookout.
