…Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of
northwestern Alleghany, northwestern Wilkes, Watauga and Ashe
Counties in northwestern North Carolina, south central Smyth and
southwestern Grayson Counties in southwestern Virginia through 615 AM
EDT…

At 531 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Abingdon to near Elk Park. Movement was
east at 50 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
