Some sections of Watauga County were impacted by power outages on Tuesday.
A dead tree that fell, due to wind and rain, was determined to be the cause of the outages in the Payne Branch Road area, according to Renee Walker with Blue Ridge Energy.
The outages began at 4:19 pm and affected 1,658 Blue Ridge Energy members. Total restoration occurred at 8:56 pm.
