The National Weather Service office in Blacksburg, Virginia has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for north central North Carolina, northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia, southwest Virginia and west central Virginia, including Watauga, Ashe, Alleghany and Wilkes counties.
Day One — Today and Tonight
Widely scattered thunderstorms will develop during late this afternoon and in the evening. A few of these storms may produce heavy downpours that could result in localized flash flooding. One or two storms may also produce damaging wind gusts that could blow down a few trees and power lines.
Days Two Through Seven — Sunday Through Friday
There is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather.
