Paving operations on Westview Drive are currently scheduled for Tuesday, November 1 & Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Residents and motorists traveling along Westview Drive may expect delays of ~ 30 minutes during these paving operations, similar to delays during recent guardrail installation in this same area.
This work is scheduled to begin at 8:00 am on Tuesday and is expected to be completed by late Tuesday evening but if necessary, this work may be continued through Wednesday. Residents living on Westview Dr are strongly encouraged to plan in advance for this work. Access along Westview Dr will not be denied but will only be allowed on a limited basis. Emergency response vehicles will be cleared through the work zone.
As part of this work, motorist can also expect a northbound lane closure on 321 from Food Lion Shopping Center to Possum Hollow Rd. The Town of Blowing Rock has activated their CodeRed Alerts system advising affected residents of this scheduled work. As always, motorists are encouraged to slow down when traveling through the project and to remain alert to construction crews and equipment working alongside the roadway and entering/exiting the roadway at various locations throughout the project.
