RALEIGH – As part of the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles’ continuing efforts to assist its customers, DMV driver license offices and license plate agencies will begin accepting American Express credit cards on Monday, Oct. 23.
NCDMV’s acceptance of credit cards has allowed customers to make payments and conduct online transactions. With the addition of American Express, DMV offices around the state will accept four credit cards.
MasterCard, Visa and Discover credit cards have been accepted at license plate agencies since late 2013. NCDMV’s driver license offices began accepting credit cards in 2015.
