An unusually colder than normal June made the history books. With an average temperature of 62.7 degrees, June 2017 tied for the second coldest June since 1980 in Boone
The average low temperature of 51.3 degrees was also the second coldest low average for a June since 1980. It should be noted that there are some days of data missing for the month, so June could have become the coldest month or dropped down the list slightly. In 1992 the average high of 60.5 degrees is at the top of the list for the coldest June since 1980.
