Governor Roy Cooper made a stop at Valle Crucis School on Friday afternoon, as part of a multi-county swing to see flood damage.
Along with Watauga, the Governor was scheduled to survey damage and meet with emergency managers in Wilkes, Forsyth and Guilford County, according to the Office of the Governor.
Valle Crucis School tweeted out “Such an honor to have Governor Roy Cooper in the Valle today. We appreciate your visit! @NC_Governor @WataugaSchools #WeAreWatauga“
