* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE…Portions of North Carolina and southwest Virginia,
including the following areas, in North Carolina, Alleghany NC,
Ashe, Surry, Watauga and Wilkes. In southwest Virginia, Carroll,
Floyd, Grayson and Patrick.
* WHEN…From Tuesday morning through Thursday.
* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– 3 TO 6 inches of rain with locally higher amounts are
expected, especially along and just eat of the southern Blue
