The Watauga County Fair has return to the High Country after a lengthy absence. Getting underway this past Tuesday, the Fair runs through Saturday night.
According to the Fair's Facebook page, events for Thursday night August 18 are:
**Midway/Pits Open @ 5pm
**Kids Beauty Pagent (6pm)
**100 Lap ENDURO + DEMOLITION DERBY + SPECTATOR RACING On The Dirt Track (7pm)
**”SLABTOWN RAMBLERS” Perform LIVE On Fairgrounds Stage (7-9pm)
**Fair Closes (11pm).
REMINDER: $5 Entry Into The Fair Every Day INCLUDES events on the Dirt Track and entertainment on the Fairgrounds Stage each evening.

**Dunk Tank (5-7pm)
**Modified 8/Outlaw 4/Figure 8/Powder Puff = KIDS BIKE RACING On The Dirt Track (7pm)
**LIVE Music On Stage (7-9pm)
**Fair Closes (11pm)
Saturday August 20th (FINAL DAY OF THE FAIR)
**Pits Open (10am)
**Carolina Garden Tractor Pullers On The Dirt Track (12pm)
**Midway Opens (12pm)
**Nationwide Simulator
**Dunk The Track Promoter (3-5pm Dunk Tank)
**Hot Dog Eating Contest (4pm)
**Stock 8/Thunder Bomber $500 To Win/Stock 4/UCARS 30 Lap Features + KIDDIE RIDES (7pm)
