BOONE, N.C. β€” App State's annual Heroes Day football game has been set for the Nov. 2 Sun Belt contest against Old Dominion.

App State will recognize military personnel, first responders and veterans at the game.

β€œIt’s always a special day when we honor the heroes among us each year at an App State football game,” said Kelsey Tolbert, assistant athletics director for marketing. β€œWe have several activations planned to recognize our heroes during the ODU game, and we hope many can take advantage of complimentary and discounted tickets to enjoy the experience at The Rock.”

β€œApp State ROTC and athletics have a longstanding relationship of mutual respect and support,” said Lieutenant Colonel (US Army) Adam Greene, professor and chair of App State’s Department of Military Science and Leadership. β€œWe are especially proud to partner with the athletics team to recognize our military service members, veterans and community first responders during Heroes Day. Celebrating these everyday heroes whose selfless service and dedication to our nation often go unnoticed is an honor we look forward to every year.”

This year’s Seats for Soldiers program, presented by Deuterman Law Group, provides complimentary tickets to the Nov. 2 Old Dominion game. Deuterman Law Group has purchased 200 tickets for active duty or veteran and retired military members and their families.
