Per the Avery County Road Conditions Facebook page, highway 221 in Avery County (heading toward Marion, I40 etc) is closed due to a tractor and trailer that has flipped. The road is blocked between Altamont and Linville Falls – 11:55am
8:47pm – getting reports that 221 is back open as of around 7:45pm
