  • WHAT…Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up
    to one inch and ice accumulations around two tenths of an inch.
  • WHERE…Avery, Burke Mountains, Caldwell Mountains, McDowell
    Mountains, and Mitchell Counties.
  • WHEN…From 1 PM Sunday to 1 PM EST Monday.
  • IMPACTS…Snow and ice accumulations could make many roads slick
    and impassable. The weight of the snow and ice on tree limbs and
    power lines could produce isolated outages. The hazardous
    conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.
