Just before 1pm Cove Creek Fire and Watauga Medics were dispatched to 4163 Watauga River Road, the intersection of Rominger Road and Watauga River Road, for a vehicle over the embankment. According to scanner dispatches at the time, a power pole had also been broke in half and power lines were down in the road.
At the height of the outages 338 Blue Ridge Electric members were in the dark. As of 2:40pm all but 4 members were back online.
