According to scanner dispatches from both Ashe & Watauga – Todd Volunteer Fire Department is again able to take fire and first responder calls as of 5pm today (Friday Jan 26, 2018).
The department has not been allowed to answer calls since August due in part to department’s lapse in insurance.
