Thursday Night Power Outage In Creston/Pottertown Due To Wreck

An accident in the Pottertown/Creston section of Watauga County lead to power outages on Thursday night. The single car rollover wreck struck a power pole leading to the outages in the 7pm hour.

Near the height of the outages 116 Blue Ridge EMC members in Ashe, and 52 in Watauga were affected. WINGS was dispatched to Elk Knob Park, according to scanner dispatches at the time. Creston Fire, Watauga Medics and Watauga Rescue were among the agencies dispatched to the scene.
