The State Hazard Mitigation Team will be in Watauga County on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 14th and 15th, to assist homeowners with completing their hazard mitigation grant applications. The times are: Tuesday, 1 pm—6 pm, and Wednesday, 8 am—6 pm. They will be at the Watauga Rec Center both days.
Hazard Mitigation funding is available for projects to help make communities more resilient and less susceptible to damages from future disasters.
