An alleged break-in resulted in shots fired over the weekend.
The Watauga Sheriff’s Office received a call from Watauga Medical Center at 8:40pm Sunday night, according to the police report. Lee Lochhead Cool, age 22, of 236 Westin Way, Apartment A in Boone, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries during the incident. The report says that Cool did not know the three individuals that entered his residence.
The Sheriff's Office is still investigating.
